Michael Burns is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Institutional Business Development Team. In his role, he focuses on working with the firm's current and prospective clients across Europe.

Before joining Blue Owl, Michael was an Executive Vice President at PIMCO, a global asset management firm focused on fixed income, private credit and real estate. He had several roles over 20 years at PIMCO, most recently as head of the UK, Ireland and EMEA Consultant Relations business. Prior to that, he was head of the Nordic Region. Michael began his career as an Analyst at TCW in the Mortgage-Backed and Asset-Backed Securities Group.

Michael received his BA in Economics from Boston College, where he was a Dean's List member. He also received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Michael is also a CFA charterholder.

Brent Butler is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In his role, he is responsible for managing the firm’s strategic distribution partnerships in Canada.

Before joining Blue Owl, Brent worked at RBC for over 11 years in various roles, most recently within the Private Wealth division.

Brent received a Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he graduated from the Honors Program. Brent is actively involved in a variety of nonprofit organizations, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of the John Tavares Foundation and was a founding member of the Young Professional Committee for Ronald McDonald House Toronto.

Laurie Campbell is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Compliance Team. In her role, she focuses on implementation of the compliance program for the firm’s limited purpose broker-dealer.

Before joining Blue Owl, Laurie worked at Fieldpoint Private Securities, LLC and Vision Financial Markets, LLC in senior compliance roles. Prior to that, she was a mortgage securities analyst at CS First Boston Investment Management (which has evolved into a successor firm) and then spent six years as an institutional account management officer at BlackRock.

Laurie received her BS in Marketing and Management from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Lee Campbell is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Finance, Accounting & Operations Team. In his role, Lee heads Accounting Policy and financial diligence for M&A activities.

Lee has 28 years’ experience and prior to joining Blue Owl he held positions at MetLife (2 years), AIG (10 years), PwC (10 years) and other auditing firms (5 years). At MetLife he led a team of 10+ people in Accounting Policy for investments, financial diligence for M&A activities & supported SEC reporting. At AIG he was the Global Head of Accounting Policy Team of 30+ people with locations in NYC, London, Houston, and Tokyo while overseeing financial diligence efforts for M&A activities and the Learning & Development Group. At PricewaterhouseCoopers he was a Senior Manager in audit and completed a three tour in the firm’s National Office.

Lee is a CPA in NJ/NY and received a BSBA in Accounting from Old Dominion University.

Shane Cantwell is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Liquid Credit Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on evaluating investment opportunities and capital markets coverage. 

Shane joined Blue Owl when they acquired the Wellfleet Credit platform, which he joined at its founding.

Prior to that, he was a member of the leveraged loan capital markets team at Credit Suisse. 

Shane received his BA from Fairfield University.

Lamar Cardinez is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the GP Strategic Capital Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on evaluating investment opportunities, underwriting transactions and capital raising for Blue Owl HomeCourt Partners Fund.

Before joining Blue Owl, Lamar was an Investment Banking Associate at Guggenheim Securities. Prior to that, Lamar was a member of the National Football League’s Junior Rotational Program where he worked in various media and business development roles.

Lamar received a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, where he graduated with honors and received an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School of Business

Fiona Carvell is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Finance, Accounting & Operations Team. In her role, Fiona serves as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer, Credit, focusing on communications, operations, people and strategic initiatives.

Before joining Blue Owl, Fiona was Senior Vice President at HSBC for 12 years in transformation, communications, people and operations roles in Hong Kong, London and New York. Prior to HSBC, Fiona held a variety of communications positions at Lloyds Banking Group, EY and RBC Capital Markets.

Fiona received her BSc in Geology with honors from Durham University and is an admitted member of the Chief of Staff Association. Fiona is also Chair of the Blue Owl Women’s ERG.

Adam Casella is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on evaluating and structuring direct lending transactions for borrowers in the financial and insurance services sectors. Before joining Blue Owl, Adam was a member of the investment team of Blackstone Credit (formerly, GSO Capital Partners), based in New York. Adam began his career in investing banking at Barclays, where he focused on M&A and corporate finance for companies in the Power & Utilities sector.

Adam received a BS in Finance with a concentration in history, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University. Adam later received an MBA with high distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he graduated as an Edward Tuck Scholar.

Vin Cataldo is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Head of Tax. Vin is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee and serves as Vice President of Blue Owl Capital Inc., the Blue Owl Advisers, BDCs and Blue Owl Real Estate Net Lease Trust.

Prior to joining Owl Rock in 2018, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Credit platform, Vin was a Director in the Banking & Capital Markets team at PwC, a public accounting firm where he specialized in tax consulting, structuring, compliance and reporting services for banking and advisory firms, broker-dealers, asset managers and other financial institutions. During his tenure at PwC from 2014 to 2016, Vin was a member of the mergers and acquisitions group in PwC’s Washington National Tax Services practice in Washington, D.C., specializing in partnership taxation and the Up-C structure. Preceding those roles, Vin was a Lead Senior Accountant and Assistant Fund Controller at the Capital Group in 2011 after beginning his career with PwC in 2007.

Vin received a BS in Accounting, magna cum laude, and a MS in Taxation from Fordham University. Vin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York.

Christy Chan is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In her role, she focuses on supporting the firm’s Private Wealth business development in Asia.

Before joining Blue Owl, Christy was a Director at Value Partners. Prior to that, she was a Vice President at Neuberger Berman's Financial Institutions business development based in Hong Kong. She also gained her private banking experience at Standard Chartered Bank, National Australia Bank and Merrill Lynch. Christy began her career as a Financial Services Officer at HSBC.

Christy received her BA in Economics from the University of New South Wales.
