Nick Theccanat is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Communications & Public Affairs. In his role, he manages for external and internal firm communications as well as government affairs.
Before joining Blue Owl, Nick was a Vice President at Prosek Partners. Prior to that he managed the communications for investment bank PJ SOLOMON. Earlier in his career, Nick worked at Edelman, the world’s largest PR firm.
Nick received a BA in Communications with a minor in Political Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Alex Thomas is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on underwriting and structuring investments across a variety of industries.
Before joining Blue Owl, Alex Thomas was a Senior Associate within the Corporate Credit group at Guggenheim Partners where he began his career.
Alex received a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Bowdoin College and is a CFA charterholder.
Matt Tier is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he oversees underwriting, due diligence, and structuring of new investment opportunities and portfolio management activities for existing portfolio companies across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and related services.
Before joining Blue Owl, Matt was a Vice President at Fifth Street Asset Management, a middle-market direct lending platform based in Greenwich, CT. Matt began his career as an Analyst in Wells Fargo’s U.S. Corporate Banking Group.
Matt received a BA in Economics with a minor in History at New York University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Michelle Tihal is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Finance, Accounting & Operations Team. In her role, she focuses on the SOX and Internal Controls.
Before joining Blue Owl, Michelle was a Vice President in the Global Real Estate Finance & Accounting team at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to that, she held various roles in finance and internal audit at a large pharmaceutical company and began her career at Deloitte.
Michelle is a Canadian CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Biology from Queen’s University and Master of Management & Professional Accounting degree from the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto.
Andy Toppin is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Finance, Accounting & Operations Team. In his role, he focuses on investment operations for Blue Owl's Alternative Credit business.
Before joining Blue Owl, Andy was a Director of Operations (Public Markets) at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit team. Prior to joining Atalaya, he was a Vice President of Operations at Fir Tree Partners.
He holds a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance & Management from SUNY Albany and is a CFA charterholder.
Allison Toy is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Commercial Real Estate Team. In her role, she focuses on overseeing the underwriting and due diligence of commercial real estate transactions.
Before joining Blue Owl, Allison was a Director and Head of Underwriting at Kuvare Asset Management, the predecessor to Blue Owl Insurance Solutions. Prior to that, she was a Director and Head of Post-Closing Transactions at SitusAMC, Head of CRE Underwriting at Sabal Capital, a Director at Wells Fargo Securities in the CRE Capital Markets and Finance division, a Senior Advisor with Gateway Asset Management, Vice President at the Credit Suisse Platform of the Situs Companies, and an Underwriter with CWCapital. Allison began her career as an Underwriter with KTR Newmark, a predecessor to KTR Real Estate Advisors.
Allison received her BA in Architecture and a Certificate in East Asian Studies from Princeton University.
Lee Tse is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Business Services Platform. In his role, he focuses on driving cost savings and value creation initiatives with GP Strategic Capital Partner Managers and their portfolio companies.
Before joining Blue Owl, Lee was a Principal at KKR Capstone and the Chief Procurement Officer for KKR. Lee was focused on driving procurement-focused value creation efforts for KKR and the portfolio companies. Before joining KKR, Lee was a Director with Insight Sourcing Group where he was a leader within the Private Equity practice.
Lee received an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Scott Turco is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on direct lending to middle-market companies.
Before joining Blue Owl, Scott was Head of Sourcing at Goldman Sachs Asset Management ("GSAM") Private Credit Group and a voting member of the Private Credit Group's Investment Committee. Before that, he was Head of Sourcing at THL Credit, Inc. Currently, Scott serves as a Board Observer at Associa, Mavis Tire Supply, and Galls and is on the Board of Directors at Walker Edison. Previously, he was on the Board of Directors at HDT Holdings and served as a Board Observer at Yasso and Mervin Manufacturing.
Scott received an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Psychology.
Jeffrey Tynik is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Liquid Credit Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on trading and investing in broadly syndicated non-investment grade leveraged loans.
Before joining Blue Owl, Jeffrey was a Senior Credit Analyst and Loan Trader of the performing leveraged loan business at Littlejohn & Co. Prior to that, he was a Credit Analyst at Redan Park Asset Management and Doral Leveraged Asset Management.
Jeffrey received his BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Josh Ufberg is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, he leads the team's corporate and opportunistic investing, which includes capital solutions, fund solutions and commercial solutions.
Before joining Blue Owl, Josh was a Partner at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl's Alternative Credit team, where he also oversaw the firm’s corporate and opportunistic investing efforts. At Atalaya, Josh sat on the firm’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee for multiple funds, and the firm’s Valuation Committee. Prior to joining Atalaya, Josh was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of their Special Situations Group, a multi-asset class business which invested Goldman's capital in both the public markets and private transactions in distressed and special situations. Josh has served on the boards of Urban Arts Partnership and the Jewish Community Project, and currently serves on the board of The Natan Fund.
Mr. Ufberg holds a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from Villanova University.
